Embark on a unique adventure from Copacabana to the legendary Sun Island, where according to legend, the sun was born and the history of the Inca Empire began. Walk along ancient trails, climb the Yumani Stairway, drink from the sacred Inca Fountain, and marvel at ancient ruins with breathtaking views of the Andes Mountains.

Itinerary

The guide will be at the hotel (City Center) at 7:00 a.m. to meet the passengers. The tourist bus is expected to arrive and departs for Copacabana at 8:00 a.m. (4-hour trip). The first stop is at the Tiquina Strait, where everyone gets off the bus to cross the lake by motorboat. Once on the other side, we board the bus again and continue the trip along the lakeshore, enjoying panoramic views.

Arrival in Copacabana is at 12:00 p.m., followed by a brief visit to the church and the town. Then we depart by private motorboat to the southern part of Sun Island, where the Inca Empire was born. Here, we will visit pre-Columbian ruins such as the Yumani staircase, the Inca Fountain, and the Pillkocaina Palace, with panoramic views of the Royal Range or Andes Mountains from this location.

Lunch on the island will be an Apthapi (traditional communal meal). After the visit, we return to Copacabana and then depart back to La Paz by local bus. Arrival is at the local bus stop (Cemetery), followed by transfer to the selected hotel (City Center).
