Day 1 – Calama Airport – San Pedro de Atacama – HD Moon Valley
Upon arrival in Calama, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. In the afternoon, you’ll visit Moon Valley. In the midst of the vast aridness of the Salt Mountain Range, you’ll discover a landscape of salt and clay sculpted by millions of years of wind and water. During the tour, you’ll enjoy the beauty of the mountain range’s unusual shapes, which inspire imagination and reflection due to their tranquility. The tour will end with a beautiful sunset, providing a wonderful close to the excursion. Overnight stay.

Day 2 – San Pedro de Atacama – FD Tatio Geysers
Your journey to the high plains begins early in the morning to reach one of the world’s most important geothermal fields, the Tatio Geysers. Surrounded by steam and water, you’ll enjoy the beauty of the Andes, and in this natural setting, you’ll be offered a refreshing breakfast. On the way back to San Pedro de Atacama, you’ll enjoy the beautiful landscape, native flora, and fauna, with a final stop at the town of Machuca, a former llama herding village. Today, this village of adobe, straw, and cactus wood houses is dedicated to tourism, offering local products like Andean crafts. Overnight stay.

Day 3 – San Pedro de Atacama – Hito Cajón – Colchani
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama (downtown) and transferred to the Hito Cajón border, where you’ll switch vehicles and head to your hotel in Colchani without a guide.

Day 4 – Colchani – Desert
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be picked up and taken to the Uyuni Train Cemetery. You’ll then visit the town of Colchani to see the manual salt processing, the artisan salt market, and shops selling llama and alpaca wool textiles, hats, and ponchos. You’ll also see the salt piles, saltwater “eyes,” the Dakar Rally monument, the world flag plaza, and the first salt hotel (now a museum and restaurant), where you’ll have lunch if it’s cold, windy, or dusty.
You’ll visit the giant salt structures: the Salt Staircase (also called the Stairway to Heaven), the Salt Pyramid, the Salt Clock, the Salt Hand, and the Salt Condor. A picnic lunch will be served on the salt flats with colorful tablecloths and pillows (weather permitting).
After lunch, you’ll visit Incahuasi Island, known for its giant cacti. You’ll hike to the top of the island for a full view of the salt flats. On the way back, there will be stops for perspective photos and videos. Passing through intermediate towns like San Juan and Chiguana, you’ll arrive at the Ollague Volcano viewpoint (a semi-active volcano) at 5,865 m.a.s.l. Afterward, you’ll visit the lagoons (Cañapa, Hedionda, Honda, Negra) before heading to the hotel.

Day 5 / Desert – Hito Cajón – San Pedro de Atacama
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll begin the tour with a visit to the Siloli Desert, home to the Stone Tree, a unique rock formation shaped by wind erosion. You’ll then continue to see Laguna Colorada, the geysers, the Polques Hot Springs, the Salvador Dalí Rocks, and the Licancabur Volcano viewpoint, where you can see Laguna Verde. The last stop is Laguna Blanca. You’ll transfer vehicles at the Hito Cajones border around 12:00 PM and take a private transfer to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama (downtown hotel).

Day 6 / San Pedro de Atacama – Departure
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the Calama Airport at the scheduled time.
